"Phillip S." wrote in message om... I am trying to connect both VOOM and a Sony HD DirecTV receiver to my Sony 40" TV but it has only one DVI input. I already have the VOOM using up the DVI input. Is there any real problem with connecting the Sony HD DirecTV receiver to the component inputs (the red, green, and blue)? Will the quality be that much worse? On ebay I saw some DVI switch boxes but they cost over $200. Will the component input work OK for HD broadcasts? Thanks for any help. As I said in another post, while I do see a significant difference between DVI and component when watching DVDs, for some reason I don't notice the same with my DirecTV. DVI for the DVD player, component for the satellite. Cheers, Cody k |
