Default Ross 6110usb Hotbird freeze

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a fix for the Hotbird 6,8,9 problem with this Rx.
Ross know it's a problem but can give me no idea as to when they might
release a bugfix.

Mine freezes during scan of Hotbird - totally freezes, power off at
wall job! It froze at 32/97 so I deleted 32. This allowed to run to
99/127 before freezing.

I then hit " reset default "

So I still have two Rxs, the Ross gives me the Astra stuff without
C4HD ( another question ) and My trusty Fortec star on my Hotbird
dish.

Will the Telsky s'ware fix this? Will it trash my Rx?

Thanks

Stuart

The solution, at least with the Telsky firmware, is to do a scan for FTA
only instead of FTA + NIT. Failing that, a work-around is to do a scan
from the transponder menu. With the transponder line highlighted,
pressing OK will bring up a list of all the transponders, and you can
then do a multiple select and scan up to 20 transponders at a time,
avoiding the 'non-compliant' one.

I then hit " reset default "

No problem with C4HD here. Maybe you need to add the transponder to the
list.

It didn't trash my Ross 6110USB, but if you're up-to-date with the Ross
firmware, it won't make a lot of difference.
