DVR recommendation please

This seems unfortunately so true. Things are just not built to last. I'd
also say that once two items are bought it might be possible to combine
their use on one of these smart programmable remotes so keeping it
relatively simple.

HD is still 18 months away for me. Paying today's "early adoppter" prices
for a feature that I can't use for 18 months would be mad

In a few years such a machine will seem totally out of date.

In a few year's time the machine will be broken and in the bin.
