Wonder if anyone can help ?

Since the Winter Hill switchover my parents IDTV receives no channels
whatsoever (picks up 4 but no signal on any of them). Problems first
started
after the Nov. re-tune when all the BBC channels disappeared, other
channels
were fine. After this weeks re-tune now no channels at all.

It's a Panasonic TX 32DT2 quintrix, there is no option for a manual tune
and
the factory re-set and automatic search have'nt worked. I suspect the set
it
not compatible with the new signal standard being broadcast. Other than
connecting a digibox is there any way to get the set to pick up the
digital
broadcast ?

Should mention there is a Humax 9150T connected to the set and this works
fine, as do all the other sets and boxes in the house.

See this:-

This uis a list of stuff that is stuffed by switch to 8K COFDM.

What crap you speak. Whether a link works or not is not a function of
the browser you use.
FWIW, it works fine here on FF.

Perhaps you just forgot to stitch the two halves together.

Speak ill of the goodly open-source app and speak well of the evil
proprietary app and wrath shall fall on your head ;-)

Actually, it's probably down to the fact that a plugin like Adobe Reader
will only insert itself into browsers that it found at its installation
time, so if you installed Firefox after the plugin then it won't see it.
Try uninstalling and re-installing the plugin.

I'm sure from these responses, even the ill mannered one, that most people
running Firefox are able to display this site satisfactorily which is good.
I can using IE6 so that's fine too. I was just offering my two pennorth so
that the information on that site is available to the widest audience. I
don't have any problems with Firefox on any other links and I did stitch the
two halves of the URL together, how else did I make IE6 work? Tony

No they haven't ! You're getting confused with 16QAM and
64QAM, a totally different kettle of fish.

8k COFDM transmissions have only started in the UK as DSO hits
each transmitter. All pre DSO transmissions whether 16 or 64QAM
are, and always have been since 1998 2k.

You right, me wrong. I should know better.

The bad news list is at
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/__data/as...57/for_website
_2K_only_models_ex_volumes_revised-15_Sept_09.pdf

Can't see my Digifusion FVRT90 or Techwood PVR160TW on the list, but it does
say other affected models may not be listed - what are my chances?
