Alas, Anderson hasn't even learned 'rule 1' for commentators on live
classical music. This is simple enough. When the conductor steps onto the
podium and has the baton, the announcer should SHUT UP.

A tip that radio DJs could benefit from too.

Anderson seems to work on the basis that "I have all this to say and I'm
damn well going to say it all, even if I have to gabble and crash into the
start of the music!" Maybe he is paid by the word? :-)

Although some will never learn, and for some it is already too late.

I made the mistake of listening to Radio 1 the other evening (Muse
special). Not only did the DJ talk all over the whole intro but they
played something else /during/ the ****ing song. I turned it off in
disgust and renewed my vow never to listen to 1 again.

The rumours did say they were testing actual HD at some events - perhaps
they will be able to offer it next season!

From:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/7755219.stm

"We will not be able to provide F1 coverage in high definition this
year. The BBC relies on Formula 1 Management (FOM) for the provision
of all of its live pictures and as such the broadcasting of high
definition pictures is dependent upon whether FOM uses HD cameras or
not."
