Wow, so there is a good reason for installing Windoze 7 then...

None of these channels did this under Vista and
every other channel is perfect. Trying to watch ITV4 last night a
message appeared telling me that the signal wasn't strong enough so can
someone recommend a booster I can use?

You changed the operating system and now you need a 'booster'? Are you
female? How do you know the problem is lack of signal?

Perhaps the alteration to the computer has altered the interference it
radiates.

the PC but I don't know what to look for or which make/model works. Google
has many to choose from so I'm a bit lost as to which would suit my needs.

I have the same problem with my Hoover. It's never been the same since I
upgraded the OS to Vista XP2.

I await the definitive explanation from Jamie.

Maybe they've installed a different driver that isn't controlling the
hardware properly, it won't be Windows 7 itself.

Even if it is, the final version of W7 may not behave in all respects
exactly
the same as the trial versions.

He said he had RTM which is the "final" version (apart from all the
updates).

Yes it's the final build

I don't know what changes have been made under-the-hood but you can no
longer choose which transmitter Windows uses. I used to get a choice of
about 7 (with only 2 being usable) but now Windows does it all for you
and I can't check it's the right one.....

I'm using the latest driver from Hauppuage but it did work out the box
with built-in drivers

You certainly are. A clueless one at that.
