Default Video Conversion - Is this worth a shot?

New product out today to help convert old tapes to upscaled/HD formats.

http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/betamaxhd.html

Other models will be being released soon, including VHS-S to Bluray and
U-Matic-S to DVD.

Given it's launched today, the first 500 units will be selling for $29.99.
Has anyone used something like this before? I've only had the 8mm to VHS
type devices before now..

Cheers,
Lirpa Loof

It's not a recorder on either format, so not video conversion but still
as alien..

Given it's launched today...

I don't care, I never knew I needed Squeezy Bacon until I saw it

Makes making a bacon sarnie in the morning so incredibly easy... Couldn't
live without the stuff.
