I have a Sony HDD recorder with built in digital linked (HDMI) to my
Toshiba which also has built in digital.

I would like to give HD a try and run it through HDMI. I suppose the
only option is to buy another HDD recorder with HD capability, so any
suggestions on the cheapest option.

Well I have ordered all the bits from a local supplier

I only want to run a twin receiver system Humax HDR with no other TVs
in the house so selected a quality twin LNB.

1 x BRICK BUSTER Cable Hole Tidy
2 x F Plug Weatherproof Boot / Cover
1 x SKY/FREESAT 60cm (ZONE 2) Dish, Brkt and bolts
1 x MTI AP82-TF2BL 0.2dB Twin LNB (twin lnb)
1 x Double WHITE CABLE HOLE TIDY Pack of 2
1 x 300ml Tube Universal SILICONE Clear
1 x Self Amalgamating Tape
1 x UNI-FIX (100) Black Double Clips for WF65 Cable
1 x 25m Webro WF65CU SKY+ Twin Satellite Cable Black

I'll report back after the assembly which will be at the weekend now

You haven't ordered enough 'F' plugs, you will need two for the LNB and two
for the receiver.

Exactly. They expect you to deal with the manufacturer and not deal

when I had a problem with a new Tosh TV the supplier said I had to deal with
the manufacturer and they provided their CS phone number. I phoned them and
they confirmed the fault and they then phoned the supplier with a change out
number. Within 10 minutes the supplier phoned me saying they would like to
collect the TV and replace it immediately...........some give some take but
alls well in the end. It may have cost a few phone calls but when doing
things at arms length I suppose we have to. I vowed never to buy a large
electrical item online again but from a local stockist, then at least I can
walk it back in and demand a replacement..........they don't like to much
shouting in store.....especially when TS is in the words.

just to keep you up to date with the installation.

The outside parts were due to arrive today so I had a day off the receive
and hopefully install them. Hopefully was the right word, they did arrive
but did not include the bolts to mount the dish, bracket to mount the LNB on
the arm and the F connectors....................my first thoughts were why
the hell did I not get someone to come and install it. An angry call to the
supplier resulted in him blaming someone else and putting them the ordered
but missing bits in the post for delivery tomorrow...........when I am out
all day on another mission.

And oh yes, I ordered rubber boots for the LNB connectors only to find the
it came with them.........why the f**in hell don't the suppliers tell us
these things or at least state it on their web pages.

I had enough bits to run the cabling...........yes right, the cable and
clips........which I did to my own specification. I like to take time
drilling holes in the right places and not shattering brick faces if
possible.

A rush up to Jewsons for some wall bolts and I was able to assemble the dish
and get it up on the garage wall. Where do these companies buy these cheap
units. U bolts not as listed and some nuts would not screw on their
bolts.............Chinese **** no doubt.

Anyway, it's all up now just waiting for the missing parts.

PS I popped into Comet yesterday and bought the Humax HDR 320GB with the 2
year warranty.....er indoors grunted, not another thing under the TV and
another hand set......yes dear, but it's all in good cause

Rubber boots? you don't want to use those. Did you not order any
self-amalgamating tape? Did you read all the useful stuff on the Satcure
web site first?

I think you will find Satcure contradict themselves on this
issue............
