I can't comment on the product, but I have compiled a DIY guide which
includes a list of what you are most likely to need:

Can anyone comment on the aforementioned product from amazon? Does it
include everything necessary? (apart from a TV, obviously).

I would like to give HD a try and run it through HDMI. I suppose

any

The cheapest option is to wait, what you want is not yet available to
buy.

really?

thanks thats exactly what I have been looking at today with a dish
included
for £350 from Amazon....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/complete-ins...hing-coaxial/d...

things like wall plates, external and internal may not be supplied. Then
you
will need a long masonry drill (I already have one)

The Humax receiver can be purchased for £292 alone.

I have had an estimate for the dish installation only which was £150.

so I could save £90.

If you do go ahead please let us know how it goes and what you think
of the end result?
I'm tempted to dabble and want to keep monthly outgoings to a bare
minium (i.e. zero)

TIA

At 9am I emailed Aerial Shack at Bournemouth with a list of all the parts
which totalled about £80 ( I could collect from them) and they have not
replied yet. So that shows how much they want our business. Had I ordered
the Amazon set I am sure I would have had a confirmation email by now.

Wait until the end of April and try one of these?

Looks like the Foxsat HDR but without the recording facility (which might
suit you as you have a recorder already).

Be wary of buying from play.com. They will not deal with faulty goods
over 28 days old.

Er, they do for me, even on a browser with a cleared cache. Anyone
else having problems? I suspect not, because, checking my website
stats, there's just been some hits on that page.
