By the way, it is true that Plasma TVs consumes a lot.
Just put your hands behind the TV Plasma Set if your hands are cold.
They will soon warm up.... like over any heating system.

But, in the winter, you will save on your 'intentional' heating.

Even more so when the Gulf Stream gets turned off.

Why ban just TVs?
Burn books, ban newspapers/magazines and radio and watch the plasma
screen in city centres for real brainwashing propaganda! (1984 style?)

Why don't they make a start by stemming the consumption in our city
centres which is growing day by day as our cities expand. Most of our
city and town centres are lit up like a christmas tree 24/7.

It's more to do with economics than climate change. All the rebuilding
going on in centres of commerce, with more, bigger and bigger,
entertainment venues, more advertising etc. needs more power from
source at a huge cost. Like everything else in society (particularly
the financial sector at present) the cost must be born by the
householder. Think of the savings if they could ban TVs altogether,
and maybe computers etc. etc. The only thing that stops them doing
that is that they'd no longer be able to brainwash us all with their
politics of fear campaigns. :-(
