Default IAN: I'm worried about my Christmas tree

Thank you everyone for the helpful advice about the tinsel. I'll be down to
Asda tomorrow to select some non-conductive products. I have another little
worry though. I see from
http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/info/..._factsheet.pdf
that trees can have a serious effect on TV reception. So what about the
Christmas tree? Should I risk buying one?

Actually, Christmas lights have a problem or two as well. One person near me
has now put his low energy running lights around his window. They seem
according to a friend to sequence between flashing on and off and running
one way then the other, and they use a switch mode psu, which on most medium
and long wave radios produces a distorted pulsing buzzing noise in sync
with the flashing.

Hey, funnily enough we had a problem like this last year. I think I told the
tale on here.

get a Radio Times at the same time and work out if there is anything
worth watching. Chances are you will be fine (without any reception)! ;-)
