You've set me off! Just for a laugh I've superglued a few and left them on the bench where father assembles the head-ends. Watch this space. :-) Some time ago, my favourite RS 4" adjustable spanner (ideal for F-connectors) got superglue spilled on the adjusting screw. You want couple of RS's BNC spanners, one end fits thinwire, the other end F's, nice and thin. |

It's just that the adjustable was so very handy (as were my RS 6" pipe grips - which I seem to have lost). I love precision engineering. -- Ian |

When I showed my friend, who is a proper mechanical engineer, an example of my engineering work of which I was extremely proud, he said, "Congratulations, you're at the cutting edge of 14th century technology!" Bill Did many of your customers end up by having to watch TV in bed? This reminds me of the far-off days when I used to work for a man who insisted that I return every cable roll end to him. He would laboriously measure every short length of cable and when a customer wanted a bit of co-ax he would insist on rummaging through the huge pile of short bits 'til he found one that fitted the bill. It was like 'Open all Hours'. He died a millionaire. Bill |
