I believe you meant to say a "recorder from DirecTV with TiVo software"

Actually, since the discussion is about the DT Tivo, which is a Tivo
product, I believe he said it just the way he wanted to.

How is "TiVo with build-in DirecTV receiver" about the DT TiVo? Are you
that bad at reading comprehension? Oh wait, I forgot who I was asking, I
guess it's a rhetorical question for Wes.

The point is it's common to call a DirecTV with TiVo software a DirecTV
TiVo box and it's also common to say DirecTV people with these boxes TiVo
stuff and that they even have TiVos. Saying you can't buy one from TiVo
doesn't change the fact that the user interface and software are provided
and supported by TiVo. Is the hardware from TiVo? No. Does it really
matter? No.

Read the damn message thread title idiot.

If I was as stupid as you, I wouldn't even post in the newsgroups. Hell,
I'd probably kill myself.

You are hopeless. The DirecTV recorder with Tivo software is not in any
way supported by Tivo to an end user. Does it matter, hell yes. It isn't a
product of Tivo Corp. And it is not the topic of this thread. The S2 DT
Tivo is.

I guess you're too dumn to realize the item being discussed here is
different than the thread title.

As you know, no one here would want to stand in your way.

Nice qualification you added to change the meaning of the message.
How does it matter? If TiVo fixes a problem with the software, how does
it matter that the hardware didn't come from TiVo?
