The room is very bright, so plasma would be a problem. I'm looking at
a 73" Mitsubishi DLP (WD-73827). Does anyone have experience with very large DLP sets? Any concerns? -- When you come to a fork in the road, take it. ....Yogi Berra |

It is in a very dark room though. Keith http://www.eHDMI.com |

A local store has several plasma sets facing out through the windows (some of which are slightly tinted glass). They are fully visible and watchable while standing outside in the sunlight, and easily watchable from a wide variation of angles. I have never seen a DLP (or other rear projector) that maintains that watchable of a picture at the wide angles, indoors or outdoors. If the room is so bright that plasma would be a problem, DLP won't work either. Alan |

For rear projection, they are pretty impressive, but they still fade out at off angles, though less than many other RP sets. Alan |

Be sure to go watch one before buying...
Some people are susceptible to the DLP Rainbow Effect. And once you see it, it will always bugg you. And off axis viewing isn't that great.
