Oh dear Conor, you have been mis-informed havent' you? lol Yet
again you are completely WRONG. If you had simply left the card in
your box, when your subs finished the card would still decode C4, C5
and Sky3, hence..."Freesat" status.

IT ****ING DIDNT YOU ****ING DUMB *******. I phoned Sky as I expected
it to. I was told then that I had to buy a freesat card. I argued that
you never had to.

Thtat was one of your many mistakes, phoning Sky and believing their lies.

Sky conned you. I would not trust Sky farther than I could throw them.

IT ****ING DOESNT YOU BLITHERING IDIOT.

I have done this on several occasions, and my current card, my old subs
card, is as freesat would be. The card decodes Ch4, Ch5 and Sky 3.

That's probably because it was done before Sky lauched their Freesat
service.

OK Conor here are the facts from my set up haven't asked sky - all from my
own practical experience from my set up. Subscription was cancelled, card
was left in the box. the channels I receieve are now the freesat ones yes
sky3, channel5, Men & motors, ITV 2, ITV 3 etc. Exactly the same also for my
mothers setup, I understand other peoples is similar too but the only two I
can definitely confirm with my own eyes are these two.

So Sky or someone has screwed you for an unnecessary £20 or you have
misunderstood the Sky people and paid unnecessarily or me and my mother have
been made surprise prize winners in some freesat lottery.

John it's pointless telling him. He seems to be one of those people who is
"always right, and never wrong" despite the fact that numerous others on
here have told him the facts otherwise.

Just leave him to belive he has done right..

So your opinion is quite frankly worthless then.

Read the FAQ.

Actually it's not

The Sky Digital FAQ: http://tinyurl.com/8vef5
Section 7, final paragraph:

Quote

If you are currently a Sky subscriber then you do not need an FTV
card. If ever you cancel then your existing card will continue to
decode the three FTV channels until the next card change. You will NOT
need to buy an FTV card.

End Quote

Which FAQ are you referring to ?
