Default XM Canada and SIRIUS Canada unveils lineup

Canadian Sirius is not going to be allowed to broadcast Howard Stern like
the American Sirius is..

The CRTC controls Satellite and Cable in Canada, unlike the US where the
FCC leaves pay services alone, and has said that Howard is indecent.. (yet
they allow hardcore pornography, and gay pornography...)

Howard is the main draw of Sirius over XM here in the US.

XM, which is taking a back seat to Sirius here in the US, will put on a
full-out assault on Canada to win the market. I predict the Canadian Sirius
eventually goes down in flames...

Being a Sirius customer, I can agree that many of the dj's are lame,
especially the night guy on Alt Nation-21, he's just a punk that takes
advantage of the fact that he can swear on the radio and plays the same bits
over and over for weeks, but Kayla (afternoons) on Octane-20 rocks.. The
guys on the Jam-On station barely make the cut but the tunes are awesome,
same with the Vault. And, I LOVE the lack of commercials.

I am not. I don't have many CDs (but lots of cassettes and LPs I could
encode). an couldn't be bothered making playlists and things.

I honestly prefer having a DeeJay program my entertainment for me.
I would get stuff I never hear, or not care to hear if I had to buy the

CD

or online track of it.

I am not mobile, so a mobile audio service is not in my cards right now.
If I were, I'd be getting one.

Get the freaking French language off my XM!

You prefer Mariachi band music instead, like what's found on DTV's Music
Choice channels?

The CRTC doesn't mind licensing lots of stand-alone paytv porn channels
like Hard On PrideVision... Howard Stern would pretty much be the same
thing. Ah, but I guess his program would air on a niche XM Canada
channel that isn't adults-only, so there's the reason why no avail. I
guess if XM had an Adults-Only channel airing raunchy stuff and ONLY on
that channel, would Stern be allowed since it would be no different than
subscribing to Playboy TV. All a la carte, of course.

Yeah... you don't DARE **** with Canadians like that...
We let our leaders screw us with one scandal after another while we re-elect
them every chance we get (look for this to happen again in the next 2 months
when the Liberals will be awarded with an even bigger government than its
current minority) and we put up with gas prices, a crazy judicial system,
**** like the 'Young Offenders Act' and endless other things that we let
slide... but don't DARE say anything about the French. That's out of bounds
in Canada!

The big issue is that Stern ****ed off the french a few years back when
he was broadcast on a few Canadian stations with comments like "What is
it about the french language that turns you into a bunch of pussy faced
jack-offs"

You just DON'T say things like that in Canada.. I'm not surprised he
isn't
being aired here.

The french in Canada are just like the Sunnis in Iraq.
A evil minority.
