I can also vouch for this. We have a 'cat lady' staying a couple of houses
away. The result being a steady stream of 'new' cats which have to be
'educated' into not leaving gifts, destroying plants, etc, etc, in our
garden. The number of cats is hard to determine (I suspect that cats may be
bosons.) but best estimates are typically around 20 at any given time. :-/

Sorry to hear about this Bill, all my very best wishes and a speedy recovery
for Hil.

Ditto)

Yes what a traumatic time. Best wishes for a complete recovery. Hope you
cab get back up on the roof fairly soon.

Hope she gets well soon!

I've had a pretty strange time. Apart from being frightened witless
I've had to learn new things. And of course this is pretty daunting
when your few remaining brain cells are pickled. I've mastered the

sound card's 'aux in' socket. So I plugged the DTT box's audio
output directly into the sound card and the distortion was gone. It was
perfect. But this isn't convenient of course. I'm wondering if
anyone can suggest what I might be doing wrong here. The odd thing is

It could be they have balanced the audio input on the card with the
anticipation that it may be driven from a relatively low impedance
source like the speaker out of the computer, but you would anticipate
that just giving a low level rather than distortion as such. Might just
be poor design or a dodgy card.

Anyway, we've managed to deliver a DVD containing the best of last
night's TV to Hil every day for a fortnight now. The technical
quality has gradually improved! Hil sits up in bed with her cans on and
enjoys her soaps, and ******** to Patientline!

Well done! (she could probably rent out the nights DVD when she is done
watching it!) ;-)
