Will I need to do some sort of rescan on my Digibox (a la Freeview) or
will it pick up the new channel automatically?

Should pop up before Monday 10th at 8pm on Ch 165.

Earlier this week there was access to the same test promo as currently
running on DTT by 'pressing Red' from C4 on 104 and following the prompts.

I just checked and no sign of it. Powered Sky+ box off/on and still no
sign. Presumably it will start at around 8 tonight ?
Just as well I'll be in so don't need to setup a recording of the
Blunkett farce at 9.

They are leaving it a bit late aren't they !
The channel has been active on Freeview for about a fortnight, although
the EPG listings didn't appear until last Friday.

Well it's up there now but showing the "Call number to upgrade your
subscription to recieve this channel". I thought it was FTV/FTA?

But, unlike Freeview, Sky Digital does *NOT* need to rely on the users to
do any retuning!!! As always More4 will pop into existence with no user`
interaction needed sometime today.

Indeed, but if you're away from home until later tonight, it's not been
possible for instance to set a Sky+ box to record the Blunket satire
tonight !

True, but it's repeated at tomorrow at 00:50, then again on Saturday at
21:20, then Sunday at 01:35 and finally on C4 with no DOG on Thu 20th
Oct at 21:00. So no need to panic :-)

Fair enough !

I've got my Sony DVD/Freeview set to record it tonight from DTT, the DVD will
be going to my Sky 'FTV card only' parents !

All academic for me, anyway. Seems the arses have decided it's only
going to be available on satellite to those who cough up for Rupert's
200 channels of ****e... Anyone know of a Freeview box which is happy
on communal aerials?

That isn't a problem with an easy answer! Many communal aerial systems have
notch filters to minimise potenntial interference. You have to check that
yours does *NOT* to have any hope with a Freeview box!
