OK, you've convinced me to stick with band A for now.
P.S. If neighbours are using wideband aerials, go and look at their reception. If digital and analogue are both good enough for you, you have your answer. If not, then similarly you have your answer! FYI around here, everyone is offering "digital" aerials and most are fitting monsters! I did phone around to get a few quotes from the professionals (sic) and only one was able to respond when I said "but I get digital fine from my grotty old aerial as it is" and he basically said "it's possible other frequencies will be used post analogue shut-off in which case you won't get them with a group A". That's true - but it's also easier to persuade a customer that they should part with a lot of money if you put a huge looking beast on their roof, rather than an =A310 18 element group A aerial, which may perform better in this case!
