So you are saying that somebody could cancel sky, move house then 6 months
later cannot get sky because they were a previous customer?

6 years later even. Not that they cant get it, that they cant get it at
advantageous new customer rates., eg reduced price box, free installation,
etc......unless they are good at bargaining.

Hi all.

I currently have sky multiroom and Sky plus. I'll be moving in a

couple of
months and Sky have said they have an offer on at the mo where for 40

quid
they'll move all my equipment to the new house. Seems like a good

deal. But,
is there anything to stop me cancelling it all, and when we move have

the
wife set up a new account, thereby getting all new equipment too?

Thanks

For the 40 quid you would get a new minidish (inc. lnb) and all the
wiring, but not a new digibox.
Still that sounds ok to me, after all 40 pounds is not a lot compared
with the considerable cost of moving home.
Regards Mike.

But when a couple move they are in a new house and that is a new household.

Not according to Sky.
