Default Matsui DTR2 - Panasonic NV-SJ220B Scart problem

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me with the following problems.

My father in law has a Matsui DTR2 Freeview box & Pananasonic
NV-SJ220B VCR. The coax connection and scart connections are as
follows (STB has 1 scart and the VCR/TV have 2 each)

TV Arial STB IN STB OUT VCR IN VCR OUT TV in

STB Scart out VCR AV2 VCR AV1 TV AV1

The following happens

VCR off, STB on: TV picture is controlled by STB which is correct
VCR on, STB on: TV picture is controlled by VCR which I think is
wrong.

(If I pressed play on the VCR then I would expect the TV to show the
VCR picture but when the VCR is not playing a tape then I would expect
the STB to control the TV) As per my SKY setup at home.

Does anyone know if the STB outputs its picture on the RF cable or
does it just let the normal ananolgue signals through, the reason we
ask is that we can't tune the TV or VCR to the STB RF output. (The
Normal 5 Analogue channels are viewable but not the picture on the
STB)

The net effect of these problems is that if the VCR is on then the
only way to watch the STB is by setting the video channel to the AV2
which is then shown on the TV.

We can video the STB on AV2 and watch Analogue TV at the same time but
we can't video Analogue and watch the STB at the same time due to the
video being 'on' and the video channel being set to the analogue
channel we are taping.

Sorry the problem is a bit long winded but the main problems as I se
them are that the VCR/STB are fighting over who controls the TV and we
can't tune the TV/VCR to the RF out of the STB.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Steve
