Just wondering how many of you suffer/have suffered from the
fault described on the following www page:- http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/cgi-b...num=1094316992 Basically after powering up the box and coming out of standby then after a few minutes (approx 7 in my case) regardless of channel being viewed the box displays a black screen with "this channel is encrypted or low signal" or words to that effect. After a couple of minutes (or after a bit of channel swapping) then the picture returns and is fine from then on. It's a consistent occurrence i.e. every time I power up the box after a standby period of over an hour or so then it happens. Several users on the above link report the same issue. Looks hardware related to me and I'll be returning the box tomorrow. Anyone else had this ? |

Anyone else had this ? Had the box for a few months now and not noticed this. Not a heavy user tho. It does come up from time to time with a *no signal* or *encrypted* message but the signal returns without any provoking. I know I am in a weakish signal area and have suffered signal loss since Ondodgy days. Only suspect problem I've had is where blocks of white, like channel logo's or program introduction text/interlude appears strangely rather a hue of blue. More prominent on darker surrounding background. Was gonna send my back too but been told to make sure all leads are correctly and tightly fitted. Still not sure if it's cured the prob as I really hav'nt been able to sit down and watch the box enough with suitable program. Steve |

I started with the original 40GB Seagate drive which I have replaced with a 160GB Seagate. the only problem has been the stereo bug introduced by the last update. However the two button press on playback to fix is no big deal. Richard. |

Have not seen it with the new box (had it for nearly 3 months). Toby |
