Default Over Air Download

If I dont buy a Humax 8000 next month it then misses the scheduled OAD
to fix all those little glitches mentioned here

http://www.humaxdigital.com/uk/support/OAD.html

Is this correct? I presume all the boxes currently in shops need this
download

thanks

Thanks for the page ref. I didn't spot that before.

And yes - they will. I presume the update will be repeated - not that
it's even happened yet!

I notice that version 1.00.13 is not available on the Humax support
website - it is still offering 1.00.11.

I would have thought they would have tried ".13" through the "hard-wired"
updaters first before going OTA.

One further thought - the default upgrade time in the Humax box is 04:00,
but I thought OTA's updates ran from 10:00 to 21:00 daily.

Yes I don't think that 1.00.12 has been publicly released.

I would have thought they would have tried ".13" through the "hard-wired"
updaters first before going OTA.

I think some beta testers have got hold of a copy. My suspicion is
that they want to encourage people to download it OTA rather than
supporting people to download it from the web and supplying people
with connectors. Anyway I also suspect that it is only just finished,
if not still being finished, and therefore there would be no time to
perform any corrections and therefore no point in releasing it early
on the web.

One further thought - the default upgrade time in the Humax box is 04:00,

It is clear from http://www.dtg.org.uk/cgi-bin/download_schedule.pl
that the download starts at 10:00 at the start and ends at 09:00 at
the last day.
