Can anyone please give me a quick guide as to what I need to do to
take a DigiTV programme recorded on to my hard drive and write it to a
DVD disc (any format that my player recognises will do) to play on my
DVD player?

If the files are fairly clean with few errors you can simply throw them
at NeroVision Express 2, I think there is a demo version somewhere at
www.ahead.de).

(Something like, choose "Make DVD", drop .mpg in window, keep clicking
"Next".)

If the files are not so good then they need cleaning up - I use
PVAStrumento version 2.0.20 from www.offeryn.de

There is a commercial package which is possibly easier to use
"VideoRedo" (www.videoredo.com).

I use both of the above methods - although I tend to favour Nero. If there
are commercials which need removing, I run the Neroed file through TMPGEnc
DVD Author (which also has a burning program).
