about a pound to press a DVD and there might be 2 hours of programming. If
(and it's a big if) a market can be created for DVD only soaps etc there's a
fortune to be made. People are happy to pay a quid or so for a paper that
they throw away every day, a couple of quid a week for a DVD seems
reasonable.

So, if one were to record the MPEG stream of, say, ITV's Corrie, and offer
these each week on Ebay.....

How many lawyers would become involved?

The broadcast is theoretically free for all to receive and enjoy.

Can the recording and subsequent distribution on CD be viewed as illegal ?
