Hi,

I've heard that DVD recorders have built in copyright protection which

will
prevent me recording material from sky channels. Can anyone tell me if

that
is true? Does it apply to everything on sky or does it depend on the dvd
recorder?

Many thanks, Bob

What you heard is utter crap, You can record anything from sky, even the
movies but I think there is a restriction on the PPV but I can't confirm
that.
(mainly because I haven't tried it yet!!)

Only the Macrovision within the Signal Matt .
I just use one of those small but efficient Scart to Scart leads (One side
has a tiny circuit inside powered by a variable power supply and allows the
DVD recorder to record the movies just the same)
