Default Sky plus newbie

I got sky+ just b4 xmas, paid £200 for box all rest free, already had sky
with all channels, if I stop subscribing to sky plus what use is the + box,
will it still function as a PVR or will it just act as a "normal" sky box

If you already subscribe to SKYworld then the SKY+ fee is waived.
There is nothing to be gained by turning the SKY+ facility off and using
it as a normal(ish) digibox.

If you downgrade to a channel package that doesn't include "free" SKY+
then you will lose all the recording features including live pause, you will
not be able to access anything stored on the HD.
The same situation if you cancel the SKY subscription altogether and don't
pay the £10 a month SKY+ sub.
