They must have only done so in certain circumstances. I got my Sky+
near the beginning and didn't get sent a new card - they upgraded my
old one. I only got a new card when I phoned up for a FTV card.

As someone who got Sky+ on day one - no they didn't.


Plenty of people did get a second card. Perhaps you were too quick?

As you'll see from this thread, the majority of people didn't get a new
card. As I said, I suspect new cards were only automatically supplied
during the card transition period, or where they cocked up.

were all very early adopters?
