When I saw 60 new messages in this group I thought that Greg Dyke's
resignation had spurred some important and interesting discussion.
Then I found that it was just a load of vagrants coming from some
other dull groups.

What makes them stand out to my eyes is how so many can apparently
share so little brain. This is truly remarkable.

Did anyone else spot our very own James Follet in glorious
technicolour on Watchdog yesterday?

He was being described as "malicious" by a dubious publishing agent
who had taken his fee and then had him make numerous pointless
re-writes to a script that apparently had no real potential buyer. I
found this part to be unusual. Why bother stringing someone along when
you've got the fee anyway?

From the evidence given it didn't seem possible to say whether the
agent was really crooked (Watchdog rarely provides conclusive evidence
and often relies on the "I'm bigger than you" approach to naming and
shaming) but I was a little surprised that someone who has been around
as long as James should be taken in by one of these "pay a service fee
to get on my books" agents, be they of the literary or modelling type.

I suppose the only good thing about it was that the sum lost was
small. The wasted effort must have been much more galling.

I thought it was our James. He`s had books published in the past. I just
wondered why he now needed someone else to help publish them and get him
noticed? I would have thought that he would have had his own connections.

Damn I missed it, I'd loved to have seen the ****** behind the words.

Did he keep correcting the interviewer's grammar, whilst making howlers
himself?

..................... Or did he answer the questions before they were given,
a bit like top-posting!

You were right. Did you see "Question Time"? Hizzy was good, as usual.

Then I found that it was just a load of vagrants coming from some
other dull groups.

Dull? Ha! We are renowned for our sheer robustness here in demon.local.

As for vagrants, the correct term would be "rogues and vagabonds", but every
dl subscriber meeting that description is safely locked away behind the Great
Wall of Tone, a special killfile constructed and maintained by the famous Tony
Wright. (Thanks, Tone!)

What makes them stand out to my eyes is how so many can apparently
share so little brain. This is truly remarkable.

Do you think so? Just wait until I get my turn with the grey matter, then I'll
really make your eyes stand out.

People in the UK eat faggots for lunch ... usually served with peas.

And rich, onion gravy! You *must* have the gravy for the faggots.
