Not sure if I've missed something here, but THE great thing about the Tivo is that it can record one thing and you can be watching any of its pre-recorded stuff at the same time. I mean..... you can't possibly mean that there are TWO things on at the same time that you want to see ??? 1. surely nobody watches that much tv 2. there isn't that much worth watching on!!!! It doesn't happen often, I'll admit. I've recently been over a friends house who's just had Sky+ put in. He's paying an extra tenner a month to keep the old sky box because even though the Sky+ can handle two different channels (and apparently record two at the same time) he reckons he needs a third for when the triple clashes occur ...... There are only the two of them in the house ...... What the hell's going on ?!? -- __________________________________________________ Personal email for Gareth Jones can be sent to: 'usenet4gareth' followed by an at symbol followed by 'uk2' followed by a dot followed by 'net' __________________________________________________ |

What the hell's going on ?!? Well the problem is that you have 22 hours a day full of crap and then two hours jammed with stuff all over the place that's worth watching. eg Monday at 9pm, when both ITV and BBC1 tend to show the latest drama they have. G |

I'm just so glad that I'm so busy reading newsgroups that I don't have time to watch telly anymore :-) -- __________________________________________________ Personal email for Gareth Jones can be sent to: 'usenet4gareth' followed by an at symbol followed by 'uk2' followed by a dot followed by 'net' __________________________________________________ |

... A lot easier than living with a woman!!!! ;~) Nige LOL! So true. Then try telling the woman that you're going to hang a great big bloody screen in front of her nice curtains and you're going to drill channels across the ceiling and hang a big PJ which whirs and feed it with mains and component and XGA so the channel will have to be BIG and DEEP and that you'll get round to re-artexing it eventually and see how easy she is to live with then!! Thankfully mine has signed up to the lot but she hasn't got a clue just how crap it's going to make our 21' lounge look! Still, the money will be all spent by then!! LOL Rolo |
