No offense, but $105 for a 2 meter pair of speaker cable is a snake oil rip
off. A total waste of money. I suppose if you like to spend that because
it is cool looking (which is also throwing money away), but it is not going
to perform better than lamp wire that Home Depot sells.

Since I sell cable I might be suspected of bias in favor of brands I
carry. Instead of a particular brand I suggest you just buy mid to low
priced cable from RatShak or any other retailer. Just look for solid
connections on the ends. Avoid flimsy stuff that feels like it may fall

cable is absolute bullfrank.

I haven't gotten around to running my wiring under the house (hey, it hasn't
been even a month yet, and the football season isn't over), but I will have
a hard time believing that Monster cable is that much better than all of
these brands.

If you're running wire in the walls ensure it meets building codes. It may
be worth your while to run 12 gauge, too:

This is approximately the same cost as noted on your links ($.20/ft) and is
available in 100', 500', 1000' lengths. Wall plates, binding posts, etc.
are also available there.

I also had to run eight interconnects (25'). I used RG6 with crimp-on RCA
connectors (I already had the tools). Total cost was less than $50 for the
interconnects.

I have approximately $10,000 invested in that HT system--the cost of wires
and cables was less than $100 (approx. 1%).
