Bose Lifestyle 18 system to a HDTV

Hi
Has anyone had any experience connecting the Bose Lifestyle 18 system
to a HDTV
There is only an SVideo or a scart output from the player so am not
sure if it will provide the best output
Any Ideas and suggestions

Correct... Bose is overpriced, over-hyped junk.

The best thing to do with a Bose system is to just use the S-video for
the DVD player and connect a HD type receiver of your choice directly
to the television. The S-video output isn't the best looking signal
(component or HDMI will give the best results), but if you want to use
the built in DVD, that is the way to go.

Connect the digital audio output (coax or optical) from the HD set top
box to one of the digital inputs on the Bose box. IIRC, you should get
Dolby Digital on it (I only ever set up one of these, and it was over
a year ago, so the memory is a little faded).
