It's bound to vary from brand to brand.
The problem is that they are driven by switching regulator type circuits
(though typically more like constant current output rather than constant
voltage). Like any switch mode power supply they can be designed well or
designed poorly with respect to electromagnetic compatibility, and
poorly designed is, of course, almost always cheaper.
