Default Deals for long time Dish Network customer

My uncle has been a lot time dish network customer and has a hi-def tv and
out dated receivers. He doesn't know if he wants to pay for the hi-def
channels yet but he would like the pvr.

I know DISH has a deal that you can get both a hi-def unit and a pvr if your
a new customer.

Does dish do any dealings with current customers, or does he have to switch
to directv to get any deals?

Thanks

There is a current program for existing customers that allows you to lease
a DVR OR a 811 HDTV receiver for a fairly good price depending on your
status with Dish. Your uncle can check what he can get via the online
service on the web, or call 1800-333-DISH and ask for any upgrade options
he might be able to get. The lease deal is called "Dish'n-It-Up". But
there may be other options specific to your uncles account that he can
discuss with Dish.
