The J D Powers survey is done each and every year. Dish Network won it 2 years in row then DirecTV won a couple of years it now appears Dish won it this year. The Point is for Multi channel services No Cable Company has won this award for 5 plus years, Primestar even won the JD Powers award at least once and they no longer exist. The Survey is as scientific as possible with random samples, but as with any survey the results can be off by as much as 5 percentage points or so. Dish and DirecTV satisfaction index's were within 4-6 percentage points each (Well within the error factor of the survey).
