Default Toshiba CW34X92 problem....black box takes up lower half of sreen

Hey all,

My cw34x92 widescreen just started doing something weird.

When I turn the tv on, a black box appears over roughly the bottom half of
the screen and does not go away.

If I change channels or the picture size, or video source, or whatever, the
box disappears and about 5-10 seconds later reappears.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks.

Darren

Have you checked whether or not you accidentally turned on the closed
captioning?

Thanks a lot. That was the problem; not sure how that would have gotten
turned on.

Darren.
