Default Several surround Source devices, 1 AV Input

Hi,

What does one do if they have several devices ( 2 dvd players, a dvhs
system, cable box) and they want to feed these surround sound outputs to the
one input on a AV reciever? IS there an inexpensive switcbox that lets you
choose the input going into the av receiver?

TIA,

Jeff

All recievers have multiple inputs. Some more than others, but...

There are outboard devices available. Even for multiple 6-channel analog
sound. Check the usual on-line full line avow dealers. Probably even Radio
Shack has something.

But an even more pressing question, before you drop money on outboard stuff,
is why do you have so much video gear connected into what must be a fairly
old receiver? If all you have is one surround input, an upgraded receiver
would probably also provide you with other audio and switching advantages.

Good luck ... DB

Can you "mix" inputs on this unit? For instance, can I use an Svideo
feed from a DVD player, and an RCA feed from a VCR? Then feed the
Phillips unit to the TV with an Svideo cable?
