Newbie Question About TIVO Recording
I am considering buying TIVO and would like to know if it is capable
of recording 2 channels at the same time on the same day. Thanks, Brian

The DirecTV DVRs with two connections to a satellite dish are the only *TiVos* that can record two programs at the same time. DirecTV doesn't use the name TiVo, but calls the satellite receiver *tivo* a DirecTV DVR.

The point was that *all* DirecTV DVRs offer recording of two programs at the same time when two satellite dish cables are connected. It might be argued that the HD DVR can record two programs at the same time with one satellite dish cable connection, but who would pay $1000 for a DVR and connect only one cable to the satellite dish?
