Default Can You Change the Time Recording Defaults?

When I record a program with my TIVO (Direct TV/2 Tuners) it saves the program
for x number of days. You have to change it manually if you want to save it
longer or until you delete.

Can you change the default so it saves all programs you record for 3, 5, or 10
days or until you delete? Now, when you record a program, it saves for the
number of days you have assigned by default instead of the default programmed
into the TIVO.

Individual recordings: no.
Season Passes: yes, but must be set on each season pass.

You have this backwards.

Only individual recordings can have the number of days to save changed
(at least on an un-hacked DirecTiVo). Season Passes can only be set to
"Keep Until I Delete" or "Space Needed", where "Space Needed" is actually
code for "at least 2 days from time of recording, unless other factors
(like the Keep at Most setting) change this".

You're right: Season Passes have only two settings for "Keep at least".

To answer CoconutCarl's question, you can't change the default.

However, with additional disk space, "at least 2 days" can be a month
or more. On my systems, the distinction between yellow dot and
yellow-with-exclamation-point is nil.
