Default Directivo Hard Drive upgrade problem

A few months ago I upgraded my 30 gig drive to a 120 gig drive
following the information at
http://www.newreleasesvideo.com/hinsdale-how-to/
Mine is a Hughes.

Everything went fine. I copied the old drive to the new drive and
installed the new drive in the tivo unit. The tivo unit booted and
started up fine. The problem is that it does not seem to have any
additional storage it still seems to only store about 32 hours or so.
When I want to set season passes and record more, it gives warnings
that there is not enough space left.

Is there some way to format/parition the drive so that it knows its is
120 gigs?
Did I miss some sort of step?
