I know the issue with The Shield (at least on DirecTV) has been
addressed. And still I forgot to delete and create a new season pass and missed yesterday's 10pm episode. Ok, no problem, found it again at 1am and got it. Here's the question: When I went into Season Pass Manager, I pulled up The Shield and went into upcoming episodes. It showed me 4 eps. But when I look in recording history, it reports that the episode is no longer in the guide. If the guide information changed (which necessitated users create a new season pass), why would the old season pass still show valid episodes? Is it because it uses a name search as opposed to a channel specific search like you'd see when pulling up CSI (you'd see all CBS eps as well as syndicated ones on other channels)? -- David G. |

"Show upcoming episodes" will show for all channels, not just the Season Pass. The ones with check-marks will be recorded. |

The episodes were no longer in the guide because the network showing them (FX) had been deleted from the guide. The FX you see in there now is actually designated DTVFX, although it's still called "FX" in the guide. I know this seems to make no sense. The way to tell if an FX entry for an upcoming recording is valid is to see if channel 248 is mentioned. If an upcoming recording says merely FX, it isn't valid. If it says 248 FX, it is valid. |
