Default Home made Turbonet?

Is there a way to home made a turbonet like card? Looks to me that all it's
there is a NIC with an ASIX chipset and a PCI "coupler". The driver
(ax88796.o) have to be installed in the tivo hard drive for this card to
work.

Anyway, I'm going for it. Gonna solder 2 PCI sockets together from a
computer, install a PCI DEF-530TX+ and install the 8139cp.o or the lne390.o

You know that's NOT a PCI bus on the TiVo, right? It is a PCI
connector, physically, but it is not PCI electrically. It is a
proprietary bus.

There was a product that does what you're thinking - TiVoNet. It
predated TurboNet, you put the card in then inserted an ISA NE2000
network card.
