Enable USB ports on SD-DVR40?

Hello all,

I've been doing a lot of reading over the past couple days, but have
not come to any conclusion as to whether a Hughes Series2 SD-DVR40
system has the USB ports disabled, and the best way to enable them, or
if it is even possible--well, anything is possible I've checked out
the forums in tvcommunity.com, but it seems like they are kinda
limited as to what can be said about hacking a series2. Sorry if I am
asking a question that has already been mentioned a solid hundred
times, but I was coming up semi dry in my searching.

They are officially disabled, but can be enabled with hacks.

Thanks for the reply's. I checked out the forums at DealDatabase.com
and was able to do everything I was looking to do, in just a matter of
minutes with the info on there! Thanks again!
