Priorities when records are deleted

HI,

My unit is recording a bunch of programs based on what the kids watch. At
the same time it is marking a number of shows that we have on Season Passes
as available for delete. Will the Tivo delete these cartoons before the
shows on season's pass?

Yes, if the cartoons are just recorded based on suggestions, they will be
deleted first.

In a word: yes. The "TiVo Suggestions" recordings (based on your
household's viewing habits) are the lowest priority for being kept.
If the system needs space, it'll delete these first - only when
they're all gone will any of your Season Pass, or
individually- scheduled recordings be deleted.

I've got a show on one of my systems which has been sitting there at
the bottom of the main Now Playing list (right above the Suggestions)
for over a year. Hasn't been deleted yet, even though its expiration
date was long, long ago.

TiVo Suggestions (marked by a black circle with the word TiVo inside)
are expendable, and will be deleted before any season pass recordings.
