Default upgrading a UK spec thomson Tivo

Hi all,
Any advice on upgrading a standard Thomson Tivo box I bought 18 months ago.
No problems, just would like to get more recording space.

Thanks in advance

Simon

There are several upgrading FAQs on the web. Hinsdale is the one that's
traditionally cited, although there are others. Your best resource is
the forums at http://www.tivocommunity.com; the TiVo Underground and
TiVo UK forums are particularly friendly and helpful.

Just remember to search first before wading in with a FAQ. 99.9% of what
you want to know will be in one of the 'sticky' threads. If you're happy
with plugging drives in and out of PCs and you can follow a few simple
command line instructions you should be up and running with a larger
hard drive or drives in no time.

I heartily recommend this. I bought a 120gb drive from Fry's for $58 (after
rebate) and converted a "20 hour" Tivo to a "173 hour" Tivo. in about an
hour. It revolutionized the way the wife and I use the Tivo. (Which was in
itself a revolution.)
