Default My TiVo setup is complete...

Purchased a 40hr S2 at my local Best Buy, list price $249, instant savings
of $50, MIR rebate from TiVo for another $50, for a grand total of ~$149 =)

Purchased the lifetime subscription, no deal on that. Installation was a
snap, done in no time at all. My only gripe was paying $29 at CompUseless
for a wired USB connector which must be held in place via Jedi Powers. I am
returning it for now, an opting to use my phone line which is inches away
from the TiVo.

This TiVo is so bad ass I want another one for the living room, do I have to
pay for another subscription ?

Yes. Maybe sometime in the future they'll offer a price break for 2nd
subs, but that's not even a rumor, just a wish

I instead just distribute the video from the Tivo in the bedroom out to
the rest of the house...

Yes, they're per-box.

And if you get two then you might also look at getting USB adapters
and picking up Home Media Option to use Multi-Room Viewing to share
shows between the units over Ethernet.
