Question about starting to record a show you started watching live

Hello,

My tv was set to the channel on which Enterprise was playing and when I
switched in the tv, I noticed the show was on. So I had the Tivo start
recording the show. But it was already recording a show on the other
tuner and when I tried to change the channel from the channel on which
Enterprise was playing, it said it couldn't do that without stopping
recording Enterprise. I'm guessing this is because it was still
recording the buffer and was not caught up to live tv yet, but if anyone
knows definitely what the reason is, I would appreciate it if you could
tell me.

I guess I just realised you can either record two shows at once OR
record one show and watch live tv on the other tuner. Sorry.
