ITV 3 on SKY blackout

While watching ITV 3 on SKY I've noticed that when the advert break starts
and the sponsored by Viking ad comes on there is always a momentary break in
the sound and a momentary black screen.
Even the EPG vanishes if on.

This happens all the time.

Is it just my TV and Sky box or is this happening to others?
I've also noticed when flicking through the channels that some channels
appear immediately and others also have a blackout before they appear.

Again is this normal or something wrong with my setup?

Does it happen at a 4:3 to 16:9 junction?
Is your widescreen set displaying 4:3 content correctly with black
either side?

I have noticed my older freeview box is more likely to crash on some
channels, such as film 4 than on others. I put this down to crap design of
the software, and I certainly would expect the sat based software would be
to the same 'standard'. grin
