It's not. It's apparently not illegal to create a business that preys on disadvantaged folks, those unable to make rational choices about value for money and necessity. It's also not illegal to walk up some similarly vulnerable persons garden path, charge them £4000 for a £2000 pound roof job. But the latter get their very just comeuppance on Rogue Traders. Not BrightHouse, who seem to actively give their victims no options but the expensive bling / high end things (for their profit) then add the interest hike. I can't afford those things myself, but at least I have a head screwed on straight, and can make decisioned choices. -- Adrian C |
