Almost every time I turn the set on it gives me a 'new channels
available' message. It's getting boring the amount of time it is doing it. Occasionally it won't do it and again it might go weeks without doing it. It's asked 4 times today to install new channels when I have turned the set on but I can't see any new channels despite going through the routine. Are these genuine updates or is something wrong? |

Dunno but unplugging the aerial stops it happening. Might be a problem if you don't have a PVR though. ;-) Tim |

I kept getting the same everytime there was a bit of a tropo lift. Go into the DVB Tuning Menu and turn 'New Channel Message' to off. In the same menu you can update the channel list when it is convenient to do so. |

This is right, I now have a channel on 900 and something called community,
which has no content as since the lift, presumably, there is nothing there. I turned this off some time ago, for the very reason that it was annoying me, and just go in and do a scan when I have the time. Of course what sometimes then happens is I lose a bunch of channels and have to rescan again.... sigh. The same thing has startedt to happen on DAB though in this case you get no message, but I like to refresh them when the channels and mames alter, and then I get things like BBC 3CR and BoB and stuff like that that are also not there unless there is a lift.
